Working With Me

I work collaboratively with clients to develop greater self-awareness, build stronger and more lasting relationships, and feel more aligned in living the life they want to live. In this, I help you get to know the patterned responses and reflexive survival strategies that may have once served you but are now holding you back. These might show up as negative feelings about yourself, contribute to relational conflict, or as feeling fed up and “stuck” in life.

While therapy can be challenging, it doesn’t always have to be serious and tedious. My approach is grounded in empathy, intuition, playfulness and curiosity— because these are integral to who I am. I aim to bring my authentic self into the room and to create a container that allows you to do the same.

I practice from a depth-oriented lens. The core modalities I draw from are humanistic, psychodynamic/relational, somatic, existential, and internal family systems theory. This is because these frameworks not only help you to gain better insight into your struggles and their origins, but also help us to work with them at the source. Through reprocessing what has gotten "stuck," we're no longer restricted to the same rigid ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.

Because depth work takes time, when needed we may also practice in-the-moment tools to help you find grounding, better express yourself, and navigate relational conflict.

If you feel a sense of curiosity towards working together, or would like to learn more about what that may look like, I offer a free 30 minute consultation. I’d love to hear from you at carissa@mosaiccounselingcollective.com ✩
